For my thesis, I set out to create a project that combined my love for both storytelling and photography. When reflecting on the current global crisis, I decided I wanted to document the lives of those around me and the unique oral history that was unfolding.
'Portraits Of A Pandemic' chronicles the realities of 5 different people who are living through the global pandemic, witnessing the rapid and tangible changes that have occurred in their community of Stamford, Connecticut. The project delves into how COVID-19 has impacted people of all ages and walks of life, telling their stories through transcribed interviews and photographs I have shot over the last several months. Participants ranged from 8 years old to 93 years old. The project is hosted on its own website.
